I have been a Tallahassee resident continuously since 1992, but I also lived here 1979-1982 while attending Florida State University School of Law. I lived in Marianna, Florida from 1972 to 1992.

I retired from the Department of Children and Families in January 2012. I worked for the Florida Legislature for about 5 years, and was Executive Director of Tallahassee Habitat for Humanity (now Big Bend Habitat for Humanity) for 3 years.

Both my sons live here, along with all 6 of my grandchildren. Matt attends Leon High School, Evalynn and Wyatt go to Sealey Elementary, Wendy and Hayden to Creative PreSchool, and Wyatt stays mostly at home with his mom.

I live in Indianhead Acres. Since retiring, I have devoted most of my time to remodeling projects on my house and yard. My most sustaining interests are in recycling and reusing consumer goods, particularly glass. I have 2 kilns in my workshop and am working currently on a mosaic wall for an outside shower, with the tesserae (tiles) all made from recycled glass bottles which have been melted and re-shaped. Ihave made "stained glass" windows for my closet and laundry room using melted bottle bottoms.
