The Depot Town Association is incorporating its 501 (c) 3 nonprofit status into a Community Development Corporation (CDC) with the mandate to raise private and public funds for economic development, housing, parks and recreation for Depot Town and the City of Ypsilanti.
The Depot Town Community Development Corporation (DTCDC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has executed a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Ypsilanti, through which the DTCDC focuses on working in the parks, depot town, and the community in general. The DTCDC still has plans to improve Frog Island and Riverside Parks, even though they are no longer in charge of operating them.
