A park on the Huron River, halfway between downtown and North Campus, Island Park is reached via Island Park Drive, off of Maiden Lane. Island Park occupies the north bank of the river and a large island in the middle of the river; to the south are the soccer fields of Fuller Park.

There are three shelters in Island Park, "old", "new" (with bathrooms and electricity) and "revival", as well as playground equipment and parking for a few dozen cars. The park is picturesque but underutilized. Island Park is also a great place to have BBQs because of the many picnic tables and public grills.
