Steve Pierce runs HDL, an Internet services company based on Ypsilanti and Albuquerque. He is also one of the co-founders of Wireless Ypsi, a computer network which provides free Internet service in the area.

Politics

Steve Pierce ran in the August 2006 Primary to become the Democratic candidate for Mayor of Ypsilanti in the uncontested November 2006 general election. Steve got 866 votes of the 4613 cast in the primary. Paul Schreiber won the primary and became mayor.

Media

In the mid-2000s, Steve ran a local news blog, YpsiNews.com, and provided live streaming internet broadcasts of Ypsilanti City Council meetings on his website.
