University of Michigan buses

Ann Arbor Transportation Authority (AATA)

  • MRide: All AATA buses are free to all UofM students, faculty, and staff--just present a valid MCard ID (yellow) to the bus driver.

Airport transportation

 

  • The Michigan Student Assembly (MSA), the central student government at the University of Michigan, charters buses to provide quick, easy, inexpensive transportation to and from Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) for UofM breaks (fall break, Thanksgiving, winter break, and spring break). One-way fares are $7 with a reservation and $10 without a reservation.

Late night transportation

 

Free shared-ride taxi service for students, faculty, and staff to their residence halls, parked vehicles, or local residence. This service is available after University transit buses and shuttles have concluded daily service: from 2:00 a.m. through 7:00 a.m., seven days a week. Please note you must show the driver your valid UofM ID.

  • On Central Campus, rides are available from the Shapiro Undergraduate Library. To request a ride, call Yellow Cab directly at (734) 663-3355 on the phone provided by the Library.
  • On North Campus, rides are available from the Duderstadt Center, where the staff books the trips for the passengers.
  • On Medical Campus, rides are available from 1:20 a.m. through 7:00 a.m. with pickup at MCHC. Please note: when the MCHC entrance closes in Fall 2006, a new location will be announced. To request a ride, call Yellow Cab directly at (734) 663-3355.
