Adventure Outings (AO) is a program of the Bell Memorial Union under the administration of the Bell Memorial Union Committee and the AS Board of Directors.
The mission of Adventure Outings is to conduct state of the art, adventure related activities and programs structured to enhance the experiences of the Chico State University community.
The group organizes an array of events most notably trips into the Northern California wilderness. AO conducts roughly 40 adventures each semester. AO's trip leaders are students of the University, who provide guidance and leadership. Typically there is a fee for each trip.
AO provides transportation in vans, camping fees, and technical equipment, climbing gear, etcetera. AO does not provide clothes, camping equipment and food. Equipment may be rented from AOs rental center.
