Mark Anthony Murphy, Jr is a community improvement advocate for the City of Detroit. Raised in the Southwest Detroit area, he attended Charlotte Forten Academy where he graduated, with honors, in early 2004.
Beginning at a young age, Mark focused on building a stronger relationship with the community by helping seniors carry their groceries and continues to provide landscaping, snow removal and property clean-up services throughout the city, asking only for donations to provide his services for others.
Mark believes that it is possible to return to a beautiful, peaceful Detroit. Bearing in mind the neglect in city neighborhoods, he began to discover cost-effective solutions to solve several issues facing Detroit. Optimistic of accomplishing more for the people, on January 25, 2013, Mark launched the M3 Campaign, announcing his candidacy for the Office of Mayor representing the citizens of Detroit.
Mark Murphy also believes that hard work, 100% dedication, collaboration, cooperation, and leadership by example will help us conquer obstacles that Detroiters experience on a daily basis. Mark Murphy will always continue to dedicate his energy, his strength, his sweat, and his insight to improve and preserve the Great City of Detroit.
