MRS. STICKNEY, SARANAC LAKE, PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Charles J. Stickney, a resident of Saranac Lake for the past forty years, died February 9th at Physician's Hospital in Plattsburgh where she had been a patient for 11 weeks.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Methodist Episcopal Church, Rev. Frank W. Bevan, pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. George Boys, rector of the Church of St. Luke the Beloved Physician.
Mrs. Stickney was born in Keeseville in 1860. She lived there and in Bloomingdale prior to her residence in Saranac Lake which dates from 1892.
She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and affiliated witn church clubs. An active member of the W.C.T.U. she was deeply interested in the temperance cause.
Mrs. Stickney and her husband, who survives her, recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
Other relatives surviving are two sons, Jay T. Stickney of Saranac Lake, and Charles W. Stickney, Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Charles H. Wardner, Lake Clear, and William H. Wardner, Bloomingdale; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
