2007-11-04 11:07:47   I have mixed feelings about Java Lounge. Sometimes the staff is pleasant; many times they're unfriendly and I feel uncomfortable being there. The environment is terrific (seating, location), but the prices are rather high. The drip coffee is awful...every time I've tasted it, the coffee tastes burned or extremely bitter...something not right. The espresso drinks are not great, either. I tremendously support independent coffee houses and wish Java Lounge would increase the quality of their coffee & espresso & be more consistently welcoming to customers, because I truly want to like the place. —Cali4niaRags

2010-05-27 11:47:50   Personally, I have yet to visit this place...although my son's band,"Whore Monger" has played here a few times and the last time he played (a few months ago) he realized his bass was missing. We called and left messages and never a return call, he assumed it was not left there or it was stolen. We called again and spoke with a woman named "Sophia" & explained our issue and she immediately stated...Yes, we do have it here. What a relief for my son and I both!!! I dont care what the drip coffee tastes like at this point...these are honest people and for that reason alone they will get my buisness!!! These day's truely honest people are amonst us everywhere but so are the dishonest and ya never know which is which til u have a situation like this. Thank you 16th street cafe for being crediable, it mean's alot!!! —melissalacayo
