Stanfield Hill is a hill along the southwest bank of Collins Lake and also the name of an unincorporated community at the foot of the hill.

The hill is located northwest of Ure Mountain, north of Daugherty Hill, northeast of McGinn Hill, and southeast of Donovan Hill. The hill's elevation is 1,689 feet,1 and its prominence above the surrounding countryside is about 420 feet.2

The community is located on the west bank of Collins Lake, south of Rackerby, southwest of Oregon House, north of Sicard Flat, and northeast of Rancho Loma RicaThe community's elevation is 1,000 feet.

The native plant community of Stanfield Hill is central oak woodland.

The U.S. Postal Service sometimes lists addresses in Stanfield Hill as being in Browns Valley, because they are both in the 95918 zip code. However, on the Yuba-Sutter Wiki, we prefer listing the more specific location Stanfield Hill.

History

The town of Stanfield Hill was founded by William Stanfield in 1856.
