2019-07-09 22:38:07 Let me be more precise: The Baker Optometry page is a page out of a thousand other pages on the Davis Wiki. There are "countless" Davis companies that each have their own page, like Helmus Optometry. This is not only "allowed" on the Davis Wiki, but core of the Davis Wiki, as it really belongs here. Now Baker Optometry is the new, "old" kid in town. He has been around for a long time and he now has his own office and his own team. I am featuring his page, a belonging Davis Wiki page, I am not putting up an ad. I am an independent Davis Wiki editor and nobody told me to do this, nor do I receive money or something else for it. I am a patient of Dr. Baker, yes, and his knowledge and friendliness are both A+. So that's the reason I am doing this. —ConstantiaOomen

edit, a bit later: btw, look at this Winters Wiki, I featured a business there too, and they weren't even having a Grand Opening. That has been up for months now. Nobody has been complaining about that. There are certain events that come up. Dr. Baker's starting his own Optometry office is one of those events. By the way, my name is Constantia Oomen. A wiki as a whole is a LOCATION, and it consists of numerous pages both commercial and non commercial ánd historic, events et cetera et cetera. Somebody created a NON location Wiki for a business; the "Davis Business Women". So, that is not the purpose of another Wiki whole "Island". When I made that comment I was referring to the woman creating a whole new Wiki. That is something entirely different than featuring a legit Wiki page, as Dr. Baker is truly part of Davis. And another thing: then you are adding to your own not-understanding, because then you feature "Farmers Market". A commercial institute, because money is asked for quite expensive veggies , fruits and nuts. I personally never go there, because it's too expensive. 2019-07-21 20:22:30 I figure this is a legit content dispute, and it hasn't quite risen to an edit war, per se. I think you make a pretty good point, but I mostly support the Farmers' Market one because the optometrist was up for awhile, and it was a fairly reasonable idea to change it just to keep the Front Page fresh.
