Why would a site promoting free speech delete posts? No matter the topic.
- Because the goal is to create a reference work, not a dialog. Discussions exist only long enough to hash out ideas and are then gleaned for useful attributes which are worked into the main entry. Nothing is *ever* deleted in a Wiki - hit the Info tab and you can view every edit (including all comments, "posts", jokes, changes and additions) presented by date... even for entries that have been "deleted" (go to the entry by name, then hit "Info"). To date, no information ever entered into DavisWiki has ever been deleted. The entire evolving history and debate over every single piece of information is available. — jw
