Oakland Originals is a series of dynamic, short documentaries that spotlight the extraordinary artists, musicians, thinkers and do-ers that make Oakland, California a uniquely vibrant and thrilling city. These Oaklanders electrify the screen while pushing boundaries and exploring territories singular to Oakland.
Oakland Originals is in pre-production on the second round of short documentaries. They premiered the first round of four “Originals” in 2014, which include a passionate fruit forager, a sculptor of other-worldly curiosities, a graffiti artist determined to leave a meaningful mark, and an in-line skater dedicated to going the distance.
