Oakland’s weather is described as Mediterranean. With the many adjectives used to describe this city. Our weather should be one of our biggest selling points. Unlike San Francisco, Oakland is less windy and has best access to Freeway’s, Airports and Wine Country. Oakland’s weather is almost over looked when looking at the East bay. Oakland has several Micro-climates. West Oakland is warm in summer yet has a nice breeze that comes off the bay. With the improvement of “Middle Harbor Park off  7th St. in 2000 Oakland took a space that was going unused and grimy and created a place that now one can take families to enjoy. Sometimes the weather can be quite hot in the East bay. So this part of the Bay in Oakland can provide a nice break from the heat. The View of the San Francisco from this park is amazing. North Oakland: North Oakland can have some off the coolest weather in Oakland. Close to the Bay there is a nice breeze that can make Oakland, Emeryville and Berkeley a nice relief to the heat of the summer months. The 80 freeway runs along these three cities. Beautiful Views of the San Francisco sky line and a setting Sun is visible most days.

With Oakland’s Mediterranean weather, dinning in Oakland and the rest of the East bay is OUTSTANDING! There’s nothing better than dinning alfresco. Sitting out in the revitalized downtown or Jack London Square and walks along the Embarcadero in the evening most summer day’s is incredible.

The Oakland Hills: There are many residents in Oakland that don’t realize what they have in their own back yard. The Redwood regional park area is an area in which the ones that know of this area spend a great deal of time. You didn’t need to travel far to enjoy great Redwoods, great views and another micro climate. The mountains have the morning fog even in summer that warms closer to noon. The early morning cool weather is what Hikers, joggers and bikers prize most. Running alone top of Skyline Boulevard, Redwood regional parks offer place for the outdoors person to experience a place from another time. The fog rolling in over the tops of the ancient Redwoods. Burning off to expose nature at its best. Alone top of the ridge you get the most heat of the day. The lower paths cut through the forest and give relief to the heat of the day. Hundreds of miles of trials with steams winding through and across them, Oakland provides a vacation without leaving the city limits.
