The Random Shopper - Gail Vort-Ronald: Hahndorf Village Voice, Spring Issue No 39, 2014
Ambleside Antiques opened in March this year at the rear of the well-known Rose Cottage in the Main Street. Peter Proud and Phil Templeton, the proprietors, have brought their love of antiques to the business, specialising in their own interests of Art Deco, silverware, glassware, porcelain and crockery.
The antiques feature a range of oriental, Japanese and English items. There is a broad range of small antiques which also include jewellery and made-to-order children’s rocking horses.
They are planning a Sculpture garden in the near future which will include a range of sculpture items for sale. They both come from a hospitality background with a love of cooking hence the wide and varied range of interesting cookbooks for sale. Why not pop in and browse and see if you can find that special something for that special someone.
