Adelaide Beehive Corner is a significant Place: recorded as a landmark in S.T. Gill’s watercolour of 1849, a familiar meeting place and rebuilt in Gothic Revival style with a golden bee in 1895. The work relates to a sense of place - Beehive Corner - through myriad images juxtaposed on canvas.

Andrea explores the spatial dynamic of the picture plane, searching through traditional idioms with contemporary processes and mixed – media.
The vastness of the Australian landscape ‘seen aerially’ is experienced in general aviation by Andrea.
Using her imagination she takes universal elements to suggest intrinsic qualities.
