Marble HillThe East Torrens Historical Society Inc. was formed in 1982 to cover the old East Torrens District Council area and has an active committee.  Meetings with guest speaker are held bi-monthly, from February, on the second Wednesday from 7.30pm.  The group produces five newsletters a year and holds regular working bees at the Slab Hut at Ashton and Deep Creek Bridge at Basket Range.  Members are also involved in the Uraidla and Summertown Show, Australia Day celebrations, History Month and wild-flower walks at Marble Hill in October.

The group is doing a second print run of its latest publication, Marble Hill - A Grand and Glorious View, which was co-written by members and cousins Geoffrey and Patricia Bishop and released in January.
