Minutes of Committee Meeting held on Wednesday January 14th 2015
in the Hahndorf Institute Supper Room
1. Present
R Harcourt, E Aliffe,J Fowles,J Buchan, B Mouatt,T Finnis, J Bettcher, S Bettcher,M Brook,J Germano, M Gordon, A Haines , H Gallasch, M Hasler. A Haines attended 10.00 am.

4. Business Arising
4.1 Dry Zone No progress and no response from P McGinn DCMB Inquire as to lapse date Action Ann
4.2 Strategic Plan. Rick spoke to this. The document will be created with Council, Traders and led by HCA .
4.3 [i] Jeff has spoken to Mark Fiora regarding a path along creek between the Haus and Fiora development This could extend to Alec Johnston Park if DCMB funding is granted..
[iii] Roundabout at Hills Council end. Wendy met with a Mr Larkin. Area has been tidied but need ground cover and plantings. Which Council will manage this?
[iv] Entrance Statement. Jeff reported that an advertisment has been lodged with press seeking expressioons of interest for Consultation, Design and Constuction .Council not prepared to provide Capital Fundng as did not do so for the Mt Barker Entrance. Palmya family has offered land.
*3 stages Consultation,design,construction. Anticipated cost $60,000.
* Some dicussion as to interactive activities along the street. eg large community chess games, a beer garden once town has statement completed. .
4.4 Tour Down Under. decision to manage a simple sausage sizzle on Academy lawns Sub committee to meet Friday 16th to plan.
4.5 Lettering on War Memorial. Letter sent to Community Hall chairperson Contact Institute Committee also. Action Ann
5.Correspondence
Mail from HAC regarding bus/library/ shopping for Seniors.
6.General Business
6.1 Lap top computer The current HCA laptop contains all the VIllage Voice material in addition to some of Wendy's personal items. Wendy wishes to purchase a new laptop for HCA and keep the old one, leaving her items on it and transferring the V V material to the new one. The Committee agreed to contribute 50% of the cost up to $400.00 for the new laptop. Action Ann /Rick
6.2 Consider meeting times -linked to succession planning discussion around this and which age group of residents most likey to become involved. Address this via Village Voice HCA column, through personal invitation, and through new arrivals in Hahndorf. Next agenda
6.3 Amalgamation of Institute Management Committee under with HCA COmmittee management.
