The Odom Boulevard Branch Library of the Akron-Summit County library system has served its community since 1923. Originally opened as the Wooster Branch in 1923 in a frame building on the old Akron Water Works property on Wooster Avenue, the branch moved to its present location in 1954. Because of community interest, this library's collection is particularly strong in black literature and religious studies.
