Link Transit

Link Transit serves Burlington, Gibsonville, and Alamance Community College. Their goal is to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors by providing a safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation solution.

Link Transit operates LTVs (Light Transit Vehicles), which are ADA accessible. The vehicles can also hold up to two bicycles.

Routes for Alamance County

Link Transit has 5 routes serving Burlington, Gibsonville, and Alamance Community College. The routes include the Blue Line, Orange Line, Purple Line, Red Line, and Green Line.

Fares

Regular Fares	$1.00 per Ride
Reduced Fares with ID for: Senior Citizens (60+) Students Disabled Medicare Card Holders	50¢ per Ride
Children (shorter than the farebox)	FREE
Transfer	FREE

Coins (no pennies) and $1, $5, and $10 bills are accepted.

Regional Fare Cards are also accepted.

Bus drivers do not handle money and fare boxes cannot make change.

The fareboxes will issue a Link Transit Charge Fare Card for any amount overpaid.

Regional Fare Cards: Regional Fare Cards are fare cards that can be used on the Link Transit system as well as on P.A.R.T., GTa, and HiTran. They can be purchased in amounts of $5, $10, and $20 at these locations:

Burlington: Municipal Annex Building, 237 W. Maple Ave., Burlington
Gibsonville: Town of Gibsonville Town Hall, 129 W. Main St., Gibsonville
Alamance Community College: main campus (Graham)

Reduced Fare Card: Passengers who have a disability, are 60 years of age or older, are Medicare card holders with a valid photo ID, or are students are eligible to apply for a Reduced Fare Card, which will allow them to ride for half the regular fare. Show your Reduced Fare Card to the driver prior to paying the fare.

Transfers

Approved transfer points: Holly Hill Mall and the Temporary Transfer Hub on Worth Street in downtown Burlington.

A free Transfer Pass is issued when more than one bus route is required to get you to your destination. If you need to transfer, let the driver know when you board/exit the bus and a Transfer Pass will be issued by the farebox. The Transfer Pass is for the next connecting bus only. The expiration time is printed on the Transfer Pass. When you board your connecting bus, simply drop the Transfer Pass in the slot. If the Transfer Pass has expired, the farebox will beep and alert you right away.

Tips for Travel

Keep your Regional Fare Card and Link Transit passes, cards, and IDs in good condition so they can be read by the farebox
- Don't bend them or get them wet
- Keep them away from high heat and don't leave them in the sun
All pass cards, transfers, and IDs are non-transferable, cannot be shared, and are non-refundable
Misuse of Link Transit Fare Card may result in your card being deactivated
