Moseley Center

Talk to any student on Elon University’s campus, and they will tell you that Moseley Center is a helpful resource when it comes to a multitude of things. The Moseley Center, located in the central part of campus, offers service and support for visitors and students of Elon. The Moseley Center opened in 1994 and replaced the Long Student Center, which is now used for the department of psychology. The center was named in honor of Furman Moseley, Elon alumnus, and his wife Susan. Moseley Center is a 74,000 square foot building which houses a variety of places that are all beneficial to students, faculty, and the community in general.  Whether you want to grab a bite to eat, pick up your mail, or learn more about the campus as a whole Moseley offers it all. The facility acts as a hub for various activities, and includes offices for student organizations, lounges, conference rooms, and several restaurants. Octagon Cafe, Irazu, and Topio’s Pizza are just a few of the places to eat inside. On the upper level one can find different student organizations, some of which include; WSOE radio, Residence Life, the Student Government Association, and Greek Life. All in all, The Moseley Center is a great addition to Elon’s campus, and it remains a focal point on campus full of information and resources. New Addition: Hearth Lodge

In the fall of 2013, Elon’s Moseley Center underwent renovation in order to create a student commons center, now known as Hearth Lodge.  The new addition was constructed to provide students with a common space that allowed them to hangout, accomplish schoolwork, and even enjoy lunch that is conveniently located around the corner.  Some of the features Hearth lodge has to offer is an electric fireplace, plush couches, a wall-to-wall whiteboard, several flat screen TV’s and Mac computers all for student use.  Another feature Hearth Lodge includes is a fully functioning kitchen available for students to rent out at their own convenience.
