Are you considering welcoming a furry friend into the family? A visit to Burlington’s Pet Adoption Center may be exactly what you need!  With dozens of friendly dogs, loveable cats, and a small number of large and exotic animals, this pet adoption center is the perfect place to find your new best friend!  Located on Stone Quarry Road in Haw River, North Carolina, this modern facility houses many animals looking for love and companionship.  

Open Monday-Saturday, visits to the adoption center are easy and strongly encouraged.  You can also see a list of the available animals by going online to petharbor.com or petfinder.com and entering your Burlington zip code.  You must be 21 year of age to adopt and proper identification is required.  The adoption process is very reasonable, with the required shots and vaccines included in the adoption fees (Cats - $60.00.  Dogs - $80.00).

The current “Featured Pet” is Tank, a one-year-old bulldog and boxer mix.  He was brought to the shelter as a stray and, according to the volunteers, "immediately won the hearts of the staff!"  For pictures of Tank or any additional questions you can also email [email protected].
