Located past the railroad tracks and across from the Town of Elon fire station, The Station at Mill Point is a new on-campus housing community for Elon University that opened in August 2012. Housing 324 juniors and seniors, the main purpose of the community is to give students the advantages of on-campus living along with the independence and benefits of living off-campus. Each brightly-colored house features apartments that have a white porch, full kitchen, living room, dining room, and private bedrooms and bathrooms. This neighborhood setting also includes many features such as an outdoor pool and recreation area, clubhouse, fitness room, and event/meeting spaces.

Elon University will provide many amenities including free wi-fi, cable television, facility maintenance, and campus security

The neighborhood is brand new with its colorful 24 two-story furnished homes, wide sidewalks, and green plants and trees. The houses are built to LEED standards and Energy Star Environmental Standards

Additionally, a student neighborhood association has been set up to determine and govern set community standards and programs for the neighborhood.

The neighborhood has had a successful start to its debut, and is already becoming increasingly popular among students. When walking or driving by, one can see many students outside sitting in the rocking chairs on the porches or walking around the new neighborhood.

Elon University also offers information sessions for anyone interested in learning more about Station at Mill Point. Any further questions can be answered by the Elon University Office of Residence Life.
