A staple of Elon University's Historic Neighborhood, Varsity Grill is located in the downstairs floor of McEwen Dining Hall. In this Elon Sports themed restaurant, students can talk and converse over classic "sports bar" meals. Opened in the fall semester of 2003, Varsity contains 14 flatscreen televisions all showing sports related programs. Customers can come in and enjoy watching their favorite teams play with Varsity's numerous subscriptions to Directv's sports packages. These include Sunday Ticket (NFL), NHL Center Ice, ESPN Game Plan, NBA League Pass, and ESPN Full Court. 

In addition to the 145 capacity restaurant, customers can enjoy ten reclining-leather chairs in the Varsity's theatre. With a wide screen projection screen for the biggest games, students can their meals while watching sports in the most comfort. Every Sunday night, one can see numerous students and/or faculty enjoying Sunday Night Football, while also diving into one of the many meals offered at Varsity.

 

The menu includes burgers, sandwiches, salads, make-your-own wraps, and pasta options. Varsity Grill also serves several different entrees, and has a make-your-own salad bar with your choice of assorted leaves, vegetables, and dressings. In addition to these, Varsity now offers many sides that were previously unavailable. These include mozzarella sticks, french fries, onion rings, homemade cookies, hush puppies,  fresh fruit, and many more. 

Students have a variety of ways for paying for their meals. Not only can one use his/her Phoenix Card, but all credit cards and cash are acceptable forms of payment at Varsity.  Options for Phoenix Card payment include; phoenix cash, meal dollars, and also plus 7/14 meal exchanges as payment.

Hours of operation run from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m, 7 days a week. Because their is usually a line at the restaurant, Varsity offers students and faculty the option to order ahead and skip over this line. The number for the Varsity Grill is (336) 278-5302.
