1400 Bar & Grill is a restaurant and bar at 1400 Webster Street.
The building the restaurant is in, the Croll Building, is a California Historical Landmark. The bar used to be called Croll's, named for Johnny Croll, the original owner. The old Croll's opened back in 1883. The business is owned by Alameda natives Mike Cooper and Yanni Placourakis.
Every day, from 5 to 5:15pm, you can order a Grandma Cooper Bourbon and Seven for just $1.05 (limit two). The drink is named for Mike's grandmother, E.B. Cooper, who drank a Bourbon and Seven every day at 5pm her whole life, and lived 105 years.
