Sanborn Township is a civil township in Alpena County. The population (2022 estimate) is 2,043. The Sanborn Township Hall is located at 12025 U.S. 23 S, Alpena MI (at Nicholson Hill Rd), about 12 miles south of downtown Alpena. At the eastern boundary of the township is the shore of Lake Huron.

Ossineke is a census-designated place in Sanborn Township, but there is also a separate Ossineke Township to the west of Sanborn Township.
