Southfield-based 123Net, a privately held carrier of voice and data, announced Thursday the acquisition of several hundred Internet customers formerly served by 20/20 Communications, the Ann Arbor-based private sector partner in the Wireless Washtenaw Project.

Established in 1995, Internet 123 is centered around offering wholesale Internet and Telecommunications services to ISPs, high tech companies, CLECs and other groups. Internet 123 typically does not sell directly to the end user, instead, relies on a network of resellers and agents. Internet 123 success is your success!

The acquisition follows 123Net President Dan Irvin’s expansion strategy by increasing the company’s footprint in Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County. “20/20 built an innovative wireless network delivering new, cutting-edge communication technology to a growing list of satisfied customers. We’re thrilled to have them unite under the 123Net brand,” said Irvin.
