1405 Hill Street in Ann Arbor is the 1896 Albert Patengill House, a Dutch colonial revival featuring side gambrels, a large shingled dormer and a smaller pedimented dormer on the front elevation, a shallow two-story bay window on the front, and a stately front porch with short round Doric columns supported by fieldstone piers. Mr. Patengill was a professor of Greek. The house has been the Sigma Delta Tau sorority for the last 65 years, per the chapter president. The house was listed on the state Register of Historic Places in 1984.
