AAATA Route 62, the U-M State route, runs from the University of Michigan Central Campus down State Street to serve Wolverine Tower during the day and Briarwood Mall in the events. During the school year at rush times it runs quite frequently (every 6 minutes peak).
The route number was changed from Route 36 to Route 62 during the Great Renaming of routes in 2016.
