It's easy to lose track of dreams while you're concentrating on necessities. Aegis Consulting offers classes in life enrichment. While we do have a children's program, most of our students are adults who are looking for something more than day-to-day life typically offers. We can provide the support you need to pursue things that are fun, exciting and that will make you feel good about the time and energy spent.

Aegis' selection of offerings is eclectic, but everything we do is focused foremost on promoting confidence, self-respect and a gut-level knowledge of your own potential and abilities. We are also committed to providing the best information and learning opportunities in each of our subject areas and creating an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment in the process.

Are you looking to entertain a large group of people for a party, educational event, street fair or any other occasion? Consider scheduling a demonstration with Aegis Academy of Swordsmanship.

Aegis demonstrations are unique in that our swordfighting is not stage-play or movie acting. We teach and demonstrate an ancient Western-style martial art with real techniques, minus the blood and gore thanks to our safe practice weapons. Spectators get a rare chance to see what actual swordfighting looked like.

The swordsmen who make up our demonstration teams are an even mix of men and women trained in various weapons styles including sword and shield, spear, greatsword, glaive, axe and florentine (double-sword), often with some grappling and open-hand techniques thrown in. All of them are friendly, knowledgeable and skilled within the art, and they have a great time sharing their love of swordfighting with others.

Each demonstration is specifically tailored to your event, keeping in mind the audience, space and desired atmosphere. We’ll work with you as much as possible to create the best demonstration for your needs.

In the past, Aegis has demonstrated at numerous science-fiction and technical conventions, Howell's annual Harry Potter street fair, Dexter High School's 2004 senior prom, Albion College's bi-annual Medieval Feasts and informally on college campuses throughout southeast and mid-Michigan.
