Alvey Jones is an Ann Arbor artist who is a partner in the WSG Gallery on Main Street.

Bio from his website: "The work of Michigan painter, printmaker and book artist Alvey Jones has been exhibited locally and nationally and is in many public and private collections. His artist books are in the Special Collections Department of the Hatcher Graduate Library at the University of Michigan. His artwork is part of the permanent collections of the University of Michigan, Saginaw Valley State University and Monroe Community College in Monroe, Michigan. He has won awards for his paintings, prints and artist books, including a First Prize at the Ann Arbor Art Center All-Media Competition and a First Prize at the Ann Arbor Art Center Members Only Exhibition. His work is regularly exhibited at WSG Gallery in Ann Arbor.

Before becoming a full-time painter, he was employed as a software engineer. He has worked professionally as an artist, graphic designer and illustrator in Peoria and Urbana, Illinois; Phoenix, Arizona; and New York City. He served in the U.S. Army as an illustrator in the Training Aids Section of the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was art director for the Division of Broadcasting at the University of Illinois, and he has taught art history at Arizona State University and the University of Illinois. Born in Peoria, he earned his BFA from Bradley University and an MA from Arizona State University. He also did graduate work in art history at the University of Illinois."

Jones is also creator of the Bezonki comic strip, which appeared monthly in The Ann Arbor Chronicle from 2008-2014. Each eight-panel strip was drawn with watercolor and ink on paper, then digitized for publication in the online news site.
