With limited time to try and collect almost 9,400 signatures, the Ask Voters First campaign has turned to paid petition circulators. Organized to try and force a citywide vote on borrowing for a planned City of Ann Arbor police-court building, the group received some donations and decided to put paid circulators on the street, said spokesman Ed Amonsen.
