The Bella Ciao restaurant in downtown Ann Arbor is closing its doors this month, and a new restaurant focusing on locally grown food will open in its place later this summer. Bella Ciao's owner Jim Macdonald said he is selling the business at 118 W. Liberty St. after 22 years so he and his wife, Kathy Macdonald, could slow down and focus more on their fresh pasta company Pastabilities.
