Benjamin Follett (c.1819-1864) was mayor of Ypsilanti from 1860-1861. and delegate to the Democratic National Convention from Michigan in 1860. By trade he was a builder and banker, and was a partner in the building of the Huron Hotel which he renamed the Follett House after buying out his partners.
He is the father of Alice Follett (who married Edwin Fuller Uhl).
Follet was the son in law of Mark Norris.
Benjamin Follett died December 26, 1864, and is buried at Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti, Mich.
