These three, Bob Sweet on drums, Kurt Krahnke on bass and Tad Weed piano, have been part of the southeast Michigan jazz scene for decades. Anything might happen when they get together, but the sound is always fueled by creative group interplay. Whether they’re playing jazz standards, original pieces, or unexpected takes on pop tunes, the sound is always fresh, yet distinctively flavored with the soul of the Detroit jazz tradition.
