Brady Hoke in 1997 University of Michigan team photo.Brady Hoke is the head football coach at the University of Michigan. He was hired to replace Rich Rodriguez for the start of the 2011 season. He was lauded as a "Michigan Man" who admired the traditions and history associated with the program.
A graduate of Ball State, where he played football, he worked as an assistant coach at a variety of other colleges before Gary Moeller hired him as the defensive line coach at Michigan in 1995. He became the first ever associate head coach at Michigan under Lloyd Carr. He left to become head coach at Ball State in 2002. Credited with turning around a struggling program there, he coached at San Diego State for the 2009 and 2010 seasons, and was again credited for repairing a struggling program. He was hired as head coach of the Michigan football team in 2011, replacing Rich Rodriguez. [1]
