Bethel, Brian Carl Ypsilanti, MI
Passed away January 10, 2010 under hospice care. Brian was born on December 14, 1969. He spent his life pursuing his love for the arts and spreading that joy and love for the arts in both California and Michigan.
In Michigan, Brian donated his considerable talents to HARC, to the Out Loud Chorus and to the University of Michigan. Brian had many, many friends who supported him and loved him very much.
Brian is survived by his mother, Shirley Bethel Smith, and his two sisters, Carole Schroeder and Deb Bethel. He has many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. One very special Beagle. And two very special nieces, who will all miss him and remember him always.
His memorial Service will be held Friday January 15, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Arthur Nichols Funeral Home, 820 5th Street, Michigan Center, MI (517) 764-3211. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to HARC, 3075 West Clark Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48197 in memory of Brian Bethel.

Bethel, of Ypsilanti, had a oligodendroglioma (brain tumor) removed three years ago at U-M, and now has MRIs every six months to monitor his recovery.
