Carol Ernst was an unsuccessful candidate for the Mayor of Ann Arbor in the 1975 election on the Human Rights Party ticket.
Carol died in an early morning single-car crash on Pleasant Lake Road, c. 1980. Her funeral (a wicca service) was held at the Unitarian Church in Ann Arbor [now the Vitosha Guest Haus].
