Church Street begins at North University Avenue, across from the Exhibit Museum parking lot. Heads south past the eastern edge of the University of Michigan campus, then through an area devoted mostly to student housing to Burns Park.

The University owned Church Street Parking Structure dominates the east side of this section; that building also houses the UM's Key Office.
