While the store might be good for grabbing cheap paperback copies of the reading list for your literature class, the Dawn Treader is in general better for browsing than for surgical strike-style shopping. With a fairly fluid categorization scheme and shelves overflowing into the aisles, it's not the easiest place to find a particular book -- but it's an excellent place to browse for an interesting book if you don't have a specific title in mind.
They have a better-than-average collection of science fiction first editions including a good selection of advanced reading copies (ARCs).
The owner of the Dawn Treader, Bill Gilmore, used to own The Underworld.
