Nobel Prize winner and South African cleric Archbishop Desmond Tutu will be awarded the Wallenberg Medal and deliver the 18th annual Wallenberg Lecture at the University of Michigan in October, U-M announced Monday. The presentation honors Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg, a 1935 graduate of the U-M College of Architecture, who is credited with saving the lives of tens of thousands of Hungarian Jews near the end of World War II.
