The Ecology Center is a membership-based nonprofit environmental organization based in Ann Arbor that works at the local, state and national levels on environmental justice, health, waste, and community issues. Since its founding after the first Earth Day in 1970, the Ecology Center has run demonstrations and campaigns to promote recycling, environmental education, and awareness about healthy foods and products. Recycle Ann Arbor, which contracts with the City of Ann Arbor to run its recycling programs (curbside collection, the ReUse Center, the Drop-Off Station), is a subsidiary of the Ecology Center.
The Ecology Center publishes a monthly newsletter called Ecolink.
