Encore Recordings is a record store that buys, sells, and trades music in all formats. It is located at 417 E. Liberty Street by the Michigan Theater. It focuses mostly on buying and selling CDs, LPs, 7"s, 10"s, and DVDs, but it also has an "extremely limited interest" in buying 78s, cassette tapes, 4-track and 8-track tapes, commercial reel-to-reel tapes, piano rolls, 16 inch transcription discs, wax cylinders, and VHS. In addition to recorded music, Encore buys and sells music-related books, posters, photographs, handbills, and magazines.
