Esek Pray (d. 1856)
An early settler in Michigan, Esek Pray was a delegate to the 1836 constitutional convention in Ann Arbor that ratified the swap of the Toledo Strip for the Upper Peninsula, a step necessary for statehood. His farmstead, now the Esek Pray House, is in Superior Township.
