The Fifth Ward is one of the five wards into which the City is divided for purposes of City Council elections. The Fifth Ward consists of the northwest area of the city.

In 2016, the Fifth Ward is represented on City Council by Chuck Warpehoski and Chip Smith. Mr. Warpehoski was first elected in 2012 and reelected in 2014. Mr. Smith was elected in 2015.
