The Foxfire subdivision is in Northeast Ann Arbor. Students attend Ann Arbor Schools - Logan Elementary. It is located off Dhu Varren Road between Nixon and Pontiac Trail. Construction by Guenther, built between early 1990's and 2007.
Destruction of natural features during the construction onf Foxfire was one of the motivations behind the creation of the Natural Features Ordinance. From the Feb 12, 1992 public hearing on the ordinance:
"Sandra Meltzer, 2215 Blueberry Ln., spoke in support of the proposed ordinance and expressed dismay with the numerous violations to natural features during construction of the Foxfire development, which could have been avoided under such an ordinance. Ms. Meltzer stated that the creek and landmark trees remaining on the development site could still be saved by the proposed ordinance."
