From 1962 to 1965, Golfside Road served as the unofficial boundary between Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, after Booth Newspapers purchased the Ypsilanti Press and stopped distribution of the Ann Arbor News beyond it. [1].
Golfside forms a portion of the boundary between Pittsfield Township and Ypsilanti Township.
