The Ypsilanti chapter of the Iron Coffins MotorCycle Club is located at 75 Catherine St. in Ypsilanti, in a former laundry owned by businessman Woodrow Sloan.
The group is affiliated with other chapters and originated in Toledo, Ohio.

“We originated out of Ohio, and of course we branched out to have chapters all over the place,” said Stormy, president of the Washtenaw County chapter, who wouldn't reveal his real name. “Out here, we like to do a lot for kids - years ago, we used to do a toy run out to (C.S.) Mott Children’s Hospital. This year, we’re going to adopt families for Christmas, and stuff like that.”
