Jim Abbott (born September 19, 1967 in Flint, Michigan) was a pitcher for the University of Michigan baseball team. Born with no right hand, he went to the University of Michigan on a baseball scholarship. Abbott led the Wolverines to Big Ten titles in his freshmen and junior years and had a career record of 26-8.
Abbott went on to pitch in Major League Baseball for 10 seasons and is now a motivational speaker.
