John J. Sauer (Jan. 15, 1874 - Feb. 16, 1950).
His brother, Charles A. Sauer, was mayor of Ann Arbor.
John J. Sauer's Addition (plat PDF) was platted in 1923, and added Buena Vista Avenue.
